What would you like to know?
Basic Information:
Hi! My name is Kelley Kill, and currently I am an Adapted Physical Education Teacher (PreK-8) for Ravenswood City School District in East Palo Alto. This is my second year teaching for this district, but it will be my fourth year teaching Adapted Physical Education in general. Besides Ravenswood, I have taught APE for: West Sonoma County Office of Education, Sonoma County Office of Education, and private schools. I received two teaching credentials from Sonoma State University: Multiple Subject and APE. I am the second person at Sonoma State to receive those credentials together at the same time. My hope is to one day become a Community College Professor in Adapted Physical Education.
Random Information:
I am 26 years old, and my favorite color is blue. I'm an ex-lifeguard and have worked at either a pool or lake for: City of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, National Park Service- Whiskeytown, and Sonoma State. I love to: drink coffee, smile, work out (when motivated), go to San Francisco, visit Disneyland and watch TV/movies. I am a California native and grew up in Saugus, CA. Currently I am living in East Palo Alto, CA which makes commuting to my schools very nice. Anything else you would like to know just ask! Use the links page or above social icons to contact me!
Secret Information:
I got into my current field based off of a flyer taped onto a wall in the Kinesiology Building. I was all set to become either a General Education Teacher or Special Education Teacher for the elementary level when I first entered college. However, near the end of my freshman year, I was giving a tour of the campus to my friend and her mom (Head of the Special Education Dept. for hometown) when we came across this lone flyer. The flyer promoted the Adapted Physical Education Program, and the mom said "Kelley that is something you would be good at." After an Intro. to Adapted PE course, I was bitten by the bug and fell in love with the field. I never looked back after that!
